Picture IT with SkyViz, SkyCribs Control Centre design, build & maintenance services

Welcome !

SkyCribs started-out as a provider of fully serviced and appointed offices i.e. we understand how to build and manage office-type facilities. We also have a deep knowledge of SAP and a strategic interest in SAP Solution Manager in particular. This in combination with our strengths in project and program management, specialization in digital transformation and the technical genius of our build partner Deltrolux, positions us for involvement in the facilities and technology of control centres.

Our approach to differentiate ourselves centers around cost of ownership, sustainability, ergonomics, practicality, creativity, functionality, marketing, value for money, simplicity, quality, excellence in project management, attitude and transparency (i.e. no BS).

This service has been put together by people who understand the objectives of a Control Centre and some of the most creative minds and skilled people in IT, SAP, facilities management and business.

Tools
DIY REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS & SPECIFICATION TOOL

To design a new Control Centre facility, guidance is required. Download the Requirements Analysis Questionnaire  (RAQ) to document your preferences for the different design elements of a Control Centre.

For SkyCribs to begin the Control Centre design, you have to provide either a floor plan or approximate room dimensions.

CONTROL CENTRE DESIGN & BUILD PROCESS
Process
1. Conceptual Design

The first step of the Control Centre design process is to look at the scope of the project by reviewing your requirements and produce various conceptual design iterations until the requirement is satisfactorily met.

The estimated cost for this phase of the project is R250k+ (RSA).

Save yourself R50k on design fees by using the SkyCribs RA Analysis & Specification tool properly to develop the first draft of your requirements specification.

2. Detailed Architectural Design

Once the conceptual design is signed-off, the physical dimensions are verified and detailed design layers are added such as air-conditioning, lighting, electrical and LAN diagrams.

3. Full color rendering

All the features of the design elements of the Control Centre are taken into account for a computer generated rendering i.e. colors, lighting schematics, etc. The rendering is a life-like representation of your new facility.

4. Detailed Engineering Design and Build

In this phase we do the engineering, testing and knowledge transfer to your operational staff.

5. Commissioning

At this point the build process is complete and the Control Centre is ready for your technical and business staff to do the operational set-up. We will be there to provide support where required until you launch the facility.

6. Maintenance

We offer a SLA to keep your Control Centre fresh and functional.

Everyone always wants a ball-park cost estimate ...so here goes. This is for the conversion of an existing office space into a Control Centre:

  • Flashy entrance

  • All the bells & whistles

  • 2 x Rows of 8 49" LCD monitors (+ couple in stock)

  • 15 x Fully furnished & equipped  workstations

  • Excludes emergency power

  • R3 million+

An OSV (Rear screen projection) wall has the ultimate wow factor but add R2m for a 5 meter unit (+R500k per meter for bigger). Total cost of ownership does bring LCD & OSV closer though ...

The cost of the video wall represents about 40% of the investment.
